NEW YORK CITY (UPPER EAST SIDE) — A warm, dynamic, and highly organized Upper East Side family is seeking a FULL-TIME NANNY to join their well-established caregiving team for the long term. This is a Monday–Friday role, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, supporting four school-aged children (ages 6–11 years old) in a lively, fast-paced household where teamwork, communication, and proactive care are essential. Both parents are demanding professionals, and the home is thoughtfully staffed with multiple long-term caregivers and a full-time housekeeper, creating a collaborative, respectful, and well-run working environment. One beloved nanny is nearing retirement, and the family is excited to welcome a new caregiver who is looking to commit for many years to come and who is flexible, dependable, and a true team player.
Afternoons and evenings are busy and engaging and include school pickups, extracurricular activities, homework support, dinner preparation, showers, and bedtime routines. This role is ideal for a confident, capable nanny who thrives during high-energy hours and can manage transitions smoothly. While no formal tutoring is required, the nanny should be comfortable assisting with elementary-level homework, coordinating schedules, driving children to activities as needed, and keeping children’s spaces, laundry, and routines organized. The family values caregivers who encourage independence and responsibility while maintaining warmth, emotional awareness, and clear boundaries. One child has a nut allergy, so attentiveness and comfort managing food allergies is essential.
Beyond childcare, the ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented; someone who can help manage children’s clothing, shoes, supplies, and toiletries; assist with online and in-store shopping; suggest healthy snacks and meals; and communicate clearly with the caregiving team so nothing falls through the cracks. Flexibility is important, as the parents’ schedules and travel may occasionally require extended hours, overnights, or travel to the family’s Long Island residence during school breaks or summer (typically shared with another caregiver). The family appreciates caregivers who enjoy an active lifestyle, including sports, crafts, city adventures, and swimming in the home pool (a plus, not a requirement).
This is a payroll position offering $30–$45/hour, DOE. Benefits include paid federal holidays, a minimum of two weeks of paid vacation (with additional paid time off provided at the family’s discretion when they are away; should a nanny wish to take more than two weeks of vacation, that would be discussed collaboratively), and paid sick days. The family does not currently provide a health insurance stipend, but is open to discussing what is typical and appropriate. An OMNY transportation card is provided, and car service is available when traveling home after 9:00 PM.
Candidates must be up to date on all CDC-recommended vaccinations, willing to sign an NDA, comfortable working alongside other caregivers, and confident driving children when needed. This family has a long history of successful, long-term relationships with their caregivers and is genuinely seeking someone who wants to become a meaningful, steady presence in their children’s lives.
Located in the heart of the Upper East Side, just steps from public transportation, schools, and neighborhood amenities, this is a wonderful opportunity for a calm, organized, emotionally intuitive professional who thrives as part of a close-knit caregiving team and is excited to grow with a family long term.
