Job Description

Qualified candidates will feed material into machinery, assemble mats, scan, stock, and/or store items, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor fabric machines and embossing equipment.

  • Ensure proper alignment, pressure, and patterns are applied to materials.

  • Load, unload, and inspect rolls of fabric for defects or inconsistencies.

  • Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

  • Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

  • Record production data and report any issues to supervisors.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in machine operation, textiles, or embossing preferred.

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment.

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

Shift Hours: 1st shift is Monday through Friday 6 AM-2 PM, overtime, when scheduled, is required.

The late Emmett Hart established Mountville Mills in 1963 in a small building just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Hart worked at Callaway Mills for 15 years in the design and development departments before starting his own company with the encouragement of his wife, Nancy.

Emmett and Nancy were among the first seven employees of Mountville Mills. Today, the family-owned business maintains more than 640,000 square-feet in manufacturing plants, and more than 1,000 employees across North America and Europe.
