Job Description

Base Compensation Range: USD $90,500 – $148, 600

The posted range is the hiring range for this role — a subset of the broader range available to employees over time — and reflects base salary across our national hiring scale. Final offers are based on several factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position. The top of the range is reserved for candidates who notably exceed the requirements; the lower end applies to those with less experience or fewer preferred qualifications. For positions based in higher-cost zones (e.g., California, New York, New Jersey), actual compensation may exceed the posted range; your recruiter will share specifics during the process.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills

  • 4-8 years of experience in Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong SQL development skills
  • Experience with PySpark or Spark SQL
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Understanding of Lakehouse and Data Warehouse concepts
  • Familiarity with Power BI and semantic modeling
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of Git/version control practices

Preferred Skills Experience with:

  • Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
  • Dataflows Gen2
  • Fabric Pipelines
  • OneLake
  • Delta tables
  • Direct Lake

Exposure to:

  • Azure Data Factory
  • Databricks
  • ADLS Gen2
  • Event driven architectures
  • Understanding of monitoring and observability practices
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric
  • Build and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Pipelines and Dataflows Gen2
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes using PySpark, Spark SQL, and SQL
  • Implement and support Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions
  • Design and maintain medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers)
  • Create and optimize semantic models for Microsoft Power BI reporting and analytics
  • Support Direct Lake and other Fabric analytical capabilities
  • Monitor production jobs, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

Certifications (Preferred)

Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)

DP-203 or PL-300 certification is a plus
