Supported by a rare, highly integrated in-house engineering capability, we’re seeking a Facade Engineering Specialist to join our team, someone who thrives on challenging design, drives smarter outcomes, and brings deep technical expertise in facade engineering from the built environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role will see you embedded across pre-construction and delivery, working closely with Estimating, Design Management, Digital Engineering, and project teams to influence facade outcomes from early design through to construction.

This is a highly technical and commercially focused role, ideal for someone currently working in a facade consulting environment who’s looking to have greater impact on how projects are shaped and delivered.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead detailed facade design reviews, challenging assumptions to improve performance, cost, efficiency, and buildability
• Provide technical advice across all project phases, from early concept through to delivery
• Identify risks and opportunities, driving value engineering and cost-efficient design outcomes
• Work closely with Estimating and New Business teams to inform bids and methodologies
• Collaborate with Design Managers and Digital Engineering teams to optimise facade solutions
• Review documentation to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements
• Support project teams in resolving complex technical issues during delivery
• Contribute to internal capability, processes, and technical excellence in facade engineering

About You

• Strong background in facade engineering within the built environment (building projects essential)
• Currently working in, or recently from, a consulting environment
• Deep technical expertise across facade systems, design, and construction methodologies
• Commercially astute with a proven ability to influence design for cost and buildability outcomes
• Confident challenging consultants and driving better project solutions
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across design and delivery teams
• Detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively
• Significant, long-term local industry experience required
