For our Financial Advisory team, we are looking for a Manager / Assistant Director who will take a leading role in the origination and execution of engagements, manage project teams and client relationships, and actively contribute to the continued growth of our Financial Advisory practice.

Qualifications

  • Business-related university degree in Finance, Analysis and Business Planning, Accounting, Economics, Management or similar,
  • 6-10 years of relevant professional experience in financial advisory, corporate finance, investment banking, transaction services, valuation, M&A or a related field,
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial analysis, valuation and corporate finance principles,
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and coordinating project teams,
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving capabilities,
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint,
  • Ability to independently manage client relationships and communicate effectively with senior executives, shareholders and other stakeholders,
  • Commercial mindset and ability to identify and develop new business opportunities,
  • Strong leadership skills and willingness to coach and develop junior team members,
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills,
  • High level of responsibility, ownership and ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment,
  • Proficiency in Croatian and English,
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA or similar are considered an advantage

Your future role

As a Manager / Assistant Director in the Financial Advisory team, you will:

  • Lead and manage Financial Advisory engagements across areas including M&A advisory, business valuations, financial modelling, business planning, debt advisory, capital raising and other corporate finance services,
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day execution of projects, including project planning, workstream coordination, quality control, budgeting and delivery of high-quality client deliverables,
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial analyses, valuation models, financial models, transaction materials, business plans and presentations,
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and develop trusted relationships with senior executives, shareholders, investors, financial institutions and other transaction stakeholders,
  • Participate in and lead discussions, negotiations and presentations with clients and potential investors,
  • Identify key commercial, financial and strategic issues and translate complex analyses into clear and actionable recommendations for clients,
  • Manage, coach and develop Associates and Senior Associates, providing guidance and supporting their professional development,
  • Actively contribute to business development activities, including identifying potential opportunities, developing client relationships and preparing proposals and pitches,
  • Develop deep industry and market knowledge by working on complex projects across a wide range of sectors and transaction situations,
  • Collaborate with Deloitte specialists across Financial Advisory, Tax, Legal, Consulting and other service lines to provide integrated solutions to clients,
  • Work closely with international colleagues across Deloitte Central Europe and the wider global network on regional and cross-border transactions.
