1) Perform detailed electrical failure analysis on RMA (Return Material Analysis) and internal production fall out units.
2) Identify root cause of failures using systematic engineering methods (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D)and work with engineering teams on corrective solutions.
3) Prepare comprehensive FA reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations with the agreed turnaround time (TAT).
4) Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to drive continuous product improvement.
5) Participate in customer discussions regarding failure mechanisms and product reliability.
6) Operate and maintain failure analysis equipment, ensuring that it is calibrated and in good working order. Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Job Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s or master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Optoelectronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
2) 2–5+ years experience in technical support, applications engineering, or similar role. Experience in basic knowledge and principle of optical devices will be added advantage.
3) Strong understanding of electronics systems, embedded systems, or semiconductor products.
4) Capabe to use optics FA tools such as DCA, curve tracer, oscilloscope, multimeter, LCR meters, high & low mag microscope, etc.
5) Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics. Capable to decipher schematic diagram.
6) Familiar with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA and JMP.
7) Excellent communication, presentation skills, good analytical and report writing skills.
8) Can work independently and work with support teams as needed.
