BGS is searching for a F/A- 18 Tool Room Coordinator located at willing to work on 1st or 2nd shift at Naval Air Station (NAS) Joint Reserve Base (JRB) New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at NAS JRB New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests.

  • Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues.

  • Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards.

  • Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts.

  • Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products.

  • Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements.

  • Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests.

  • Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services.

  • Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules.

  • Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications.

  • Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products.

  • Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution.

  • Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory.

  • Support of other site functions as business needs require

  • Works under limited supervision.

Basic Qualifications ( Required Skills Experience):

  • Experience with Material Management and Inventory Control

  • Experience managing test assets and/or calibrated equipment

  • Experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk

  • Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Able to lift 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications ( Desired Skills Experience):

  • Aircraft MRO or production experience

  • Experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)

  • Experience in TCMAX and/or processes related to managing Tool Cribs and systems analysis

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Pay Range: $61,200 - $82,800
