The PSC F-35 Database Administrator provides direct technical support for F-35 network operations with a primary focus on assisting with troubleshooting and sustaining mission data systems. This role functions as a junior-to-mid level database engineer, supporting senior engineers and system owners in diagnosing issues, maintaining system availability, and ensuring secure, reliable network performance in a mission-critical environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting and operational support of mission data systems supporting F-35 operations.
Support network issue identification, root cause analysis, and resolution under guidance of senior database engineers.
Monitor database performance, system logs, and alerts to proactively identify potential issues.
Assist with configuration, maintenance, and documentation of database systems and related infrastructure.
Support incident response, system restoration, and escalation procedures as required.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and status updates.
Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to ensure system/database compliance and reliability.
Adhere to all security, safety, and Air Force/DoD policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelors degree or an engineering degree in a relevant discipline with 5 years of database engineering or systems support.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Active Security+ certification (CompTIA Security+) required to meet DoD 8140 compliance.
Experience supporting or troubleshooting enterprise or mission systems.
Ability to follow established processes while learning advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with F-35 systems, SPECTRE, or similar mission systems.
Experience in DoD, Air Force, or classified environments.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements.
Experience with database monitoring.
Willingness to learn and grow into increased technical responsibility.
