Qualification – Required
- Master’s degree or MBA in Energy or Oil&gasdegree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- MBA in Petroleum & Energy studies Master’s degree from a recognised university

- Understanding of the logistics and transportenergy or oil&gas value chain and ecosystems, Market research, Secondary research, Strategy development, Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy, Cross Sector Experience, Go-To-Market Strategies, Competitive Benchmarking, advanced communication skills
- Presentations development, use of analytical tools, proficiency in detailed financial and commercial analysis, negotiation and influencing skills
- The candidate must have sector-specific expertise in logistics, mobility, transport, and special economic zonesenergy or oil&gas (broad or focused expertise acceptable)
- Lead projects/workstreams related to strategy design, target operating models, go-to-market strategies, investment strategies, and feasibility studies
- Drive transformation projects focused on oil&gas logistics strategies and operating models
- Collaborate closely with EY MENA stakeholders on new pursuits and support the practice in developing end-to-end proposals and presentations for government clients
- Leverage expertise in team management and stakeholder relationships to conduct in-depth market research and identify innovative solutions for obtaining and analyzing non-public information through unstructured data sources
- Demonstrate strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess the current state of an organization's technology infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and develop data-driven strategies
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects, including planning, scoping requirements, assisting with data collection, liaising between internal and external departments, performing data analysis, and preparing business reports to disseminate research results
- Exhibit strong storyboarding skills and sound judgment in filtering relevant data and information for projects and client requirements
- Recommend strategic alternatives by conducting primary and secondary market research and analyzing company opportunities and financial situations
- Be willing to travel to the region during project delivery (as needed) and work collaboratively with engagement teams
- Demonstrate excellent project execution skills, including project management, problem-solving, and facilitation
- Contribute meaningful ideas and work productively both independently and as part of a team
- Proactively engage with customers to identify, build, and develop new opportunities to propel the team forward, ensuring adherence to process compliance and timely reporting of facts and figures
Candidate Profile
- 8–12 years of business analysis, consulting, and client management experience in logistics or transportationenergy or oil&gas strategic projects, with exposure to senior leadership
- Ability to apply strategy consulting tools, including storyboarding, basic financial modelling, and C-suite presentation development
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team of analysts or senior associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
- Strategic mindset to shape innovative, fact-based strategies and operating models
- Issue-based problem-solving skills to decode and address complex, unstructured business questions
- Strong business acumen to drive actionable outcomes for clients using the latest industry trends, innovations, disruptions, metrics, and value drivers
- Proven experience working with C-level executive clients, particularly in projects where the primary stakeholder was the CEO or Chief Strategy Officer
- Strategy consulting experience in operating model strategy, business and financial model development, digital strategy, digital transformation, process design/re-engineering, pricing strategy, go-to-market strategy, investment strategy, and performance management frameworks
- Strong business sense and logical reasoning, with the ability to conceptualize research storyboards and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter, proactive, and comfortable working independently while taking on significant responsibility
- Experienced in presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
