Egypt Education Platform is seeking a compassionate and energetic EYFS Cover Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing environment that supports the developmental needs of early years learners. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching and care to young children, ensuring continuity and consistency of learning during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cover teaching for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classes, following planned lessons and adapting to the needs of young learners.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Support the implementation of the EYFS curriculum alongside school policies and guidelines.
- Observe and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and leadership team as appropriate.
- Maintain classroom management and ensure children’s wellbeing and safety at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to support children’s learning and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in an Early Years setting, preferably in an international school environment.
- Understanding of the EYFS curriculum framework and child development principles.
- Strong classroom management skills suitable for young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to early years education.
- A current teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
