Due to our rapid expansion, we are now looking for Strategy Consultants focusing on Security & Defence to join our team in AthensThey’ll be a part of a collaborative team that applies the latest thinking, research, analytics, and methodologies to help transform clients’ businesses and solve complex business matters, driving change for tomorrow’s working world. As a Strategy Consultant in Security & Defence for our team, you will:

• advise clients across various sectors, support key decision makers in developing transformative corporate, growth and transaction strategies, and executing them
• understand key business drivers, co-develop our approach with clients, agree value measurements with the client, provide value to the client through insights, factual conclusions, and recommendations
• demonstrate the ability to gather and analyse relevant business and industry information, effectively assessing it using strategic and commercial evaluation techniques
• assist with business development activities including client pitches, presentations and gradually client meetings

• take responsibility for own learning and development and participate in upward feedback
• share your technical and other knowledge with the team
• be an effective own time manager, able to keep calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• be a team player, effectively building relationships with all client and EY echelons
• work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to implement and execute strategic initiatives

Skills & Attributes for Success

What we look for

• Excellent academic background from a top tier university. Master’s degree in business, engineering, economics or finance or an MBA degree will be considered as a strong asset.

• Relevant experience in strategy consulting and/or a corporate environment would be considered as a strong asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Greek and English.

• Good use of MS office packages (in particular Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

• Business acumen and strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical ability to shape the business agenda and define strategic roadmaps.
• Strong people skills, including cross-functional collaboration and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work autonomously and exhibit a high degree of agility

• Ability to research, digest and analyse large amounts of information, producing high quality output in the form of reports & presentations to senior executives and stakeholders in a clear compelling manner.

• Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A defense/security-related post-graduate degree
• Professional experience (previously assumed post(s) or traineeships) in a defence and security-related organization, at:
  • National/Hellenic level (Ministry of Defense or Armed forces)
  • International/EU or Non-EU level
• Professional experience (previously assumed post(s)) in defence and security industry, research organisations, consultancies or think tanks
• Experience/Certification in project management methodologies and processes
