Your new job | About your main responsibilities

As aSenior Consultant,you’ll be part of the EY-Parthenon Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team. In this role:

• You will advise underperforming medium-sized and large companies and their stakeholders (e.g. shareholders, financiers or suppliers) on liquidity and profitability issues, restructuring, strategy and complex refinancing issues, accelerated M&A and insolvency options.
• In addition, you will frequently collaborate with EY colleagues from Tax, Assurance and Consulting as well as other EY-Parthenon disciplines in the areas of valuations, business modelling, M&A, real estate, commercial strategy and operations.

Your team

You will become part of our Transactions and Corporate Finance team, with Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy (TRS) as your home base. This gives you a broad perspective on the transaction landscape and connects you with colleagues from various specializations – great for building your network and developing a well-rounded skillset.

The EY Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy (TRS) team is a cohesive group that advises both medium-sized and large companies and their stakeholders (e.g. shareholders, financiers or suppliers) in special situations. We build long-term relationships with our clients and work closely with them to understand their short- and long-term goals. We’re there at every stage to identify problems and recommend and implement solutions that deliver measurable results.

A "typical day" for a Senior Consultant within TRS doesn’t exist. What we can say is that your experience will be dynamic, engaging and fun.

Your office: Amsterdam
Our Amsterdam office is located at the Zuidas: a bustling area full of companies. In our Cross Towers, we welcome up to 1,500 people every day. For a breathtaking view of the city, head to the 22nd floor. Collaboration takes on a new meaning in our Wavespace, a high-tech environment that connects clients and colleagues virtually across the globe.

Your skills and strengths | About your unique contribution

• You have at least 3 years of relevant working experience and a relevant University degree (e.g. Business Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics or Accountancy)
• A strong and verifiable experience and/or affinity with changes, transactions and restructuring
• You have strong analytical skills and experience working with large data files and data visualisation tools
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
• You are able to deal with changing dynamics
• You have above average skills in PowerPoint and Excel

This mutual introduction is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to ask any questions you have.
4. Second interview: If we see a match and you’re still enthusiastic, we’ll invite you for a second interview. We’ll dive deeper into the role and other relevant topics. Sometimes, a business case is part of the process. A final interview may also follow.
