EY GDS Poland NextGen Talent Internship – Junior Data Engineer

Location: Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

The opportunity

The EY GDS Poland NextGen Talent Internship is a highly selective program designed for ambitious students and early-career professionals who want to accelerate their careers in Data Engineering and modern cloud technologies.

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will join a carefully selected cohort of high-potential talent and participate in an intensive learning journey that combines hands-on project experience, structured development and mentorship from experienced EY professionals. You will work with modern data platforms, cloud technologies and analytics solutions supporting global organizations across industries.

This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in designing data solutions, building data pipelines and working with cutting-edge technologies used by some of the world's most recognized organizations.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Understanding of Big Data platforms fundamentals, relational database concepts, ETL/ELT processes and Data Warehousing principles.
• Basic knowledge of at least one cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Basic knowledge of at least one cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 3 months of relevant commercial, academic or project-based experience.
• Interest in and willingness to develop AI and GenAI skills, including the use of modern digital tools to enhance productivity, problem-solving and business outcomes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an open mindset and willingness to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Experience working with modern data engineering technologies and frameworks.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and best practices.
• Understanding of data visualization and reporting solutions.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD or version control tools.
• Participation in university, technology or innovation-related projects.
• German and/or French language skills.
