Job Location WHARTON, TX 77488

To manufacture, visually inspect and package pipe in accordance with J-M Eagle packing specifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Unitize pipe online
2. Perform all measurements on daily inspection sheet and report any problems to crew leader
3. Fill out production tickets and load tags
4. Operate a forklift to take units out
5. Install rings properly
6. Identify visual defects in pipe
7. Record machine conditions and report any abnormality to crew leader
8. Clean cooling tank, water filters
9. Run Q.C. sample as required
10. Assist online start up
11. Check and add oil to the corrugated oil system
12. Do daily clean up and take care of assigned areas
13. Perform other miscellaneous jobs as directed

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Have ability to write simple correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Must have the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10"s and 100's Have ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement,

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed bit uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and gloves. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry is not permitted.
