
Title: Extra Help Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Educator

This position supports the guidance and education of graduate students in Speech-Language Pathology, providing diagnosis and treatment across the scope of practice, with a specialty in Auditory Processing Disorders (i.e., speech, language, fluency, voice, and feeding/swallowing disorders). This position provides direct supervision, instruction, and evaluation of student skills and competencies, participates in the implementation of curriculum delivery as needed, and contributes to all other department functions through participation on Committees.

$45.00 per hour
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
3. Illinois License in Speech-Language Pathology
4. Illinois Professional Educator license in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (Type 10 or Type 73)
5. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD)
6. Demonstrated ability to counsel parents, spouses, caregivers, and patients
7. Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning and growth in students
8. Demonstrated ability to work with other professionals
1. Five years of experience providing professional services in public or private setting including billing for services.
2. LETRS or Orton–Gillingham training, experience in language and literacy assessment and intervention, and familiarity with standardized assessments (e.g., TOLD, TILLS, GORT-5, and narrative/decoding measures).
10 hours per week. Will vary between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
