About the role

This role is open to candidates throughout New Zealand.

This role is perfect for a results-driven sales professional with experience in mining or industrial sectors who thrives on identifying opportunities, closing deals, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering sales growth within your territory by building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and providing tailored engineering solutions. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs while promoting Xylem’s full offering—from products to after-sales services including spare parts, rental, and service solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and contractors
  • Identify new business opportunities through market insights and project leads
  • Deliver customer-focused solutions and technical advice
  • Promote after-sales services to maximise long-term value
  • Accurately manage sales reporting and CRM activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive successful outcomes
  • Represent Xylem at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in sales within mining, industrial, or related sectors
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities and close deals
  • Commercially driven with a results-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales tools
  • Technical aptitude or engineering exposure (highly regarded)
