What is the role about?

We are looking for an External Sales Specialist to join Endress+Hauser South Africa. To look after the Mpumalanga – Nelspruit and surrounding area’s, Limpopo (Steelpoort & Burgersfort) Piet Retief and Pongola Eswatini / Swaziland regions. To manage and grow our current customer base in line with our strategy of increasing our penetration in our Strategic, Tier A, B, C, D and new accounts with our Products, Services, Added Value Services and Solutions. Align with the Endress+Hauser Industry Strategies, Strategic Directions, Local Directions and Goals.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Preparation of an annual revenue budget and territory sales plan
  • Preparation of RFs (Rolling Forecasts), in conjunction with the Salesforce and Sales Pipeline
  • Achievement of annual sales budget and Rolling Forecasts (RF)
  • Achievement of year on year agreed sales growth targets
  • Setting positive sales territory revenue budgets
  • Follow up on quotations(opportunities) and provide meaningful forecasts
  • Working closely with the responsible Internal Sales, Service Team, Projects Team and Marketing Team.
  • Prepare calendar and visit reports, with a minimum of 12 visits per working week and as defined in the Endress+Hauser Sales Process
  • Develop customer Prosperous Account Strategy (PAS) Plans, including organogram per account to include all relevant information to our position with the account
  • Increase account penetration and improve our “Cross Selling Index” by means of selling Endress+Hauser complete range of products and basic services
  • Increasing Market Share by means of Product CAGR
  • Identify and create all opportunities for sales of added value services and solutions in Salesforce.com
  • Identify, report and develop all projects in assigned account portfolio
  • Provide market and visit feedback using the call planning and reporting guidelines in Salesforce.com
  • Competitor analysis in customer base including product range and strengths – (PAS Plan)
  • Ongoing learning, by means of Webinars, Online, and in classroom training

What do we expect from you?

  • Matric + National Diploma Industrial Instrumentation or,
  • N6 National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation or,
  • Trade Test in Instrumentation and Automation
  • 5-10 years in Industrial Instrumentation or Automation Industry
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a Technical Sales Environment
  • Valid Driver’s License and must obtain a C1 (old code 10) + PDP license
  • Knowledge of Level, Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Analytical and Systems Products, as well as our Services Portfolio and Digital Business Platforms
  • Actively follow & promote the above on Digital Social Media Platforms e.g. LinkedIn
  • Must be a resident in the area of work
  • Proven technical sales background in Industrial Automation
  • Richardsons’ (or similar) Consultative Sales Training
  • Experience in the use of CRM systems, i.e., Salesforce.com
  • Excellent knowledge of Process Automation products and Industry applications
  • A sound technical knowledge and the ability to solve problems
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Account, Opportunity and Lead Management through Endress+Hauser C360 Customer Relationship Management Process, with specific focus on the Endress+Hauser 2027+ Strategy, and Industry Strategies.
