You can help achieve this goal if you can:Assist in preparing reports filed with the SEC, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, Form 11-K, and other regulatory statements as required.Prepare and/or reviews workpapers supporting financial statement disclosures.Review XBRL instance documents as assigned.Collaborate with departments as necessary to ensure completeness and accuracy of support workpapers for financial reporting.Prepare work papers and drafts financial statements (including footnotes) as assigned for: audits of defined contribution plans (Form 11-K) and related Form 5500 information; limited-scope audits of defined benefit pension plans and related Form 5500 information; Form 8-K filings associated with acquisitions, dispositions, retrospectively adjusted financial statements, etc.; separate company financial statements (audited and non-audited); other reports as assigned.Keep current on new GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and incorporates into the reporting process as necessary.Assist with identifying and resolving technical accounting and/or reporting issues.Perform other duties as assigned.This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required.Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Accounting required.2+ years of experience Accounting, equivalent Public Accounting, and/or Auditing experience required.CPA or CPA Candidate required.Preferred Requirements:Experience in the refining industry preferred.Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.Experience using Workiva's Wdesk application preferred.Experience applying XBRL preferred.
