Job Description

About the role:

To deliver annual GP and EBITDA targets through the effective management of a designated territory of customers.Drive business growth through the development of customer relationships whilst building development relationships with new customers through supplying KB and A1 products.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships within a designated territory of customers ensuring that all opportunities for increases in revenue and margin are taken creating a sustainable pipeline of opportunities

  • Deliver margin and volume growth in a designated territory of customers whilst driving continuous improvement in customer service

  • Drive cashflow through effective management of customers to ensure cash collection and payment to terms

  • Lead implementation of commercial and development strategies within the specified customer base.

  • Have a thorough understanding of the bakery ingredients market uses a wide range of tools/ techniques to effectively analyse the bakery market to develop appropriate business growth strategies at the specified customer base

  • Responsible for annual Budgets and quarterly and monthly Forecasts to ensure the business is holding the right stock levels

  • Recognise customer campaigns/delist scenarios early and protects the business from any impact at the time and during deal negotiation

  • Revise, protect and enhance strategy as new information becomes available

  • Ensures continued development of new business pipeline with clearly reported Business Opportunity pipeline

  • Works closely with a designated territory of customers Technical and Regulatory teams to drive NPD and EPD to maximise ranging and sales

  • Works with K&B procurement to secure back to back contracts with customers that protects and enhances cash margin on agreed deals

  • Manages the underwriting of stock with a designated territory of customers to minimise stock write off

  • Works closely with A1 Cakes sales and development teams to continually grow a designated territory of customers through focused product and customer development

  • Uses appropriate methods to prepare for and carry out negotiations. Develops knowledge of tools/techniques so they can lead to more complex future negotiations

  • Works with key stakeholders to complete or adapt standard contract documentation to convert business needs into robust contracts with customers

Your skills & experience:

Essential:

  • Significant sales experience in the bakery sector

  • Experience of multiple product/portfolio selling

  • Understanding of P&L and Balance sheet

  • Negotiation experience

  • Project management experience; product development, customer and supplier

  • Highly numerate

  • Data analysis - demonstrable Excel ability & systems

  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

  • Constructing Contracts

Desirable:

  • FMCG

  • Food (including Commodities)

  • Degree or equivalent

  • Experience of using SAP/ERP systems desirable
