Maintains a safe environment for patient, unit, and coworkers. Contributes to a positive work environment and the overall effort of the hospital to provide excellent customer service. Provides direct patient care with appropriate documentation under the supervision of a licentsed nurse. Always acts in accordance to State Nurse Practice Act, and accepts no inappropriate delegated assignments. Assists licensed personnel by completing supportive functions for maximum patient outcomes. Assists licensed personnel by providing activities related to the plan of care to improve customer satisfaction and provide optimal outcomes. Contributors to the delivers of quality, cost effective health care. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed. Meets mandatory requirements as determined by hospital policy and regulatory agencies.
Educational requirements and/or preferences Academic: Nursing student with successful completion of minimally one semester of a NLN accredited Associates Degree program or four semesters of a NLN accredited Bachelors Degree program. Continuing Education/Hospital In-Service: Attends all mandatory hospital in-services (i.e. Safety, Infection Control, BLS). Completion of hospital and unit orientation. Must have current CPR card.
