We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Lighting Manager to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of automotive lighting systems. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with design and engineering departments, and ensuring lighting products meet all technical, aesthetic, safety, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive lighting technologies, project management, and team leadership.

Lead the design, development, and validation of automotive lighting systems (headlamps, taillamps, interior lighting, etc.)
• Oversee lighting product life cycles from concept through production launch.
• Collaborate with suppliers, and internal departments to define requirements and ensure on-time delivery.

Ensure compliance with global automotive lighting regulations and standards (e.g., FMVSS, ECE, SAE).
• Coordinate with styling and engineering teams to integrate lighting solutions into vehicle platforms.
• Manage lighting budgets, timelines, resources, and performance metrics.
• Evaluate and implement new lighting technologies (e.g., LED, OLED, laser, adaptive lighting).
• Mentor and lead a team of lighting engineers and designers.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for lighting system issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in design reviews and customer meetings.
• Prepare standards, design guidelines and lessons learned documents.
Requirements
•
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (
Master’s
preferred).
• 9+ years of experience in automotive lighting design and development.
• Strong knowledge of lighting technologies, regulations, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Experience working with CAD, simulation tools, and lighting software (e.g., CATIA,
LightTools
,
LucidShape
).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with global automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
• Familiarity with vehicle electrical architecture and CAN/LIN communication protocols.
• Knowledge of thermal management, optics, and material selection for lighting components
