Job Description

Immaculate Heart of Mary School, located in Towson, Maryland, is seeking a qualified candidate for a part‑time Extended Care Director position. The Extended Day Care Director should have management experience and experience working with young children. In addition, he/she would be responsible for the direct supervision of students within the program as well as the staff. This is a 10‑month role, and the hours are 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Essential Functions

• Supervise the daily operations of the Extended Care Program.
• Supervise aides in planning appropriate social, physical, and creative activities for the students.
• Provide a safe and clean environment for the students.
• Record daily student attendance.
• Work with the Business Office on monthly billing.
• Communicate daily with Extended Care Program parents regarding concerns or issues, schedule changes, and general administrative matters.
• Supervision of day care staff members.
• Communicate all significant concerns and issues to the school administration.
• Comply with all regulations of the State Letter of Compliance.
• Complete all paperwork required to update and maintain the State Letter of Compliance.

• Participate in the hiring of extended care staff

• Create and maintain a weekly work schedule for staff members

• Create and maintain a daily schedule for staff to implement with students

• Reports directly to the administration

Position Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred.
• MSDE childcare credentialing or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Excellent references.

Range: $20.00 - $24.00, Hourly
