Our team will be travelling to South Africa to meet reliability professionals face-to-face, with opportunities to step into roles across our Australian paper manufacturing network.

What you'll do:

As a Mill Operator, you are responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation and monitoring of plant and equipment within the Pulp or Paper Mill.

• Operate and monitor integrated pulp and paper manufacturing processes, including Fibreline, Recovery, Utilities, Paper Machine, Recycled Fibre, Finishing and Quality operations.
• Control plant processes remotely via the Distributed Control System (DCS), including startup, operation and shutdown activities.
• Conduct field-based inspections, routine operational tasks, process sampling and manual control adjustments while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
• Monitor, analyse and optimise process performance, quality and efficiency, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing to the development of operating standards.
• Identify, report and support maintenance requirements, including the isolation and de-isolation of plant and equipment for inspections and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, technical and operational teams to achieve production, quality, safety and continuous improvement targets across the mill.
  
  

What You Will Bring:

• Certificate III, Diploma or Degree in Pulp & Paper Operations/Technology, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a pulp or paper mill, refinery, power generation facility or other complex, high-risk manufacturing environment.
• Boiler and/or Turbine High Risk Work Licence highly regarded.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively to complex process and equipment issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability and flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.
