As our Consultant, Senior Consultant or Manager in Business Transformation, you'll help organisations solve complex challenges and deliver practical, impactful outcomes through business transformation, operating model design, service improvement and AI-enabled change. Working across government, healthcare, public sector and private sector organisations, you'll support clients to redesign how work gets done, improve performance and deliver measurable value.

AI is increasingly embedded in how we work at EY. We expect our people to be AI literate, curious and confident in applying AI responsibly. Depending on your role and experience, this could involve helping clients identify high-value opportunities, redesign processes, strengthen governance, manage change, uplift adoption, or translate emerging technologies into practical business outcomes.

You'll work as part of a collaborative team that combines deep industry insight with global experience to deliver transformational outcomes for clients, helping them navigate complexity and achieve lasting impact.

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Aotearoa. Regular travel to client sites may be required as part of delivering transformation and change initiatives.

Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Ko Tō Rourou | Your key responsibilities

• Consultants contribute to the analysis, design and delivery of transformation initiatives, applying problem-solving skills to help clients achieve practical outcomes.
• Senior Consultants lead workstreams, engage stakeholders and help clients translate complex challenges into transformation strategies, roadmaps and AI-enabled solutions.
• Managers oversee the delivery of complex work packages, mentor teams, manage client relationships and provide trusted advice on large-scale transformation initiatives.

Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success

• Consultants bring curiosity, adaptability and strong analytical skills, with experience contributing to projects, transformation initiatives or business improvement outcomes.
• Senior Consultants demonstrate experience delivering consulting, transformation or change-related work, with strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and problem-solving capabilities.
• Managers bring proven leadership experience, the ability to manage complex transformation programmes, and a track record of building trusted client relationships and leading high-performing teams.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

• Consultants will have familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Design Thinking, Change Management, Project Management or enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Senior Consultants will have experience turning complex or ambiguous challenges into practical solutions, with a pragmatic, action-oriented approach and strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Managers will have experience leading transformation initiatives, applying structured problem-solving approaches and coaching teams to deliver successful outcomes.
