At Coates, we’re building a pipeline of experienced Field Service Mechanics to support key regional locations including Chinchilla, Moranbah, Mt Isa, Weipa and Winnellie.

What you’ll be doing

As a Field Service Mechanic with Coates, you’ll be working across customer sites, keeping our equipment running safely and efficiently.

• Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults on a wide range of equipment
• Work across earthmoving equipment, generators, lighting towers and access equipment
• Deliver high-quality service and support to our customers on site
• Maintain stock levels and ensure readiness for field repairs

What you’ll bring

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification
• Experience with diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Current driver’s licence (HR/MR highly regarded)
• Forklift and EWP tickets (desirable)
• A safety-first mindset and team-focused attitude
