Export Import Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end international shipment activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant export–import operations.
End-to-End Shipment Management
Manage the complete export and import shipment process, from planning, booking, customs clearance, to final delivery.
Global Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs brokers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
Shipping Documentation Control
Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of all export–import documents, including related documents, and PIB/PEB declarations.
Regulatory & Customs Compliance
Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations, HS Codes, Incoterms, and import restrictions (LARTAS).
Shipment Monitoring & Risk Mitigation
Monitor shipment timelines (ETD/ETA) and proactively identify and resolve potential delays or issues.
Problem Resolution
Handle shipment challenges such as documentation discrepancies, customs holds, delivery delays, or regulatory issues.
Logistics Cost Optimization
Monitor, control, and optimize international logistics costs including freight charges, duties, and taxes.
Internal Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with internal teams such as Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, and Quality Assurance to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
Data Reporting & Documentation Management
Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized records of export–import activities and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in export–import, international logistics, or customs clearance
(Fresh graduates may be considered for internship/magang positions).
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data processing, reporting).
Detail-oriented, well-organized, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of export–import procedures, customs clearance, HS Codes, Incoterms, and trade regulations.
Experience handling export–import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, PIB/PEB).
Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
