Air & Ocean Export Coordinator II

Torrance, CA | $25–$27 per hour | Full-time, on-site

Monday–Friday | 8:30 a.m. start | with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Do you know how to keep an export shipment moving from quote through final billing? We’re looking for an experienced Air & Ocean Export Coordinator II who can manage multiple accounts, communicate confidently with customers and vendors, and catch documentation issues before they cause delays.

This role is a strong fit for someone with at least 5 years of freight forwarding or export logistics experience who works independently and is comfortable handling complex or key account shipments.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate air and ocean export shipments with exporters, carriers, trucking companies, warehouses, terminals, and other vendors.
• Request vendor costs, prepare customer quotations, and provide clear shipment instructions.
• Prepare and verify shipping instructions, ocean bills of lading, air waybills, AES filings, and other export documents.
• Manage customer inquiries, shipment updates, order processing, and operational issues.
• Enter billing information, review vendor invoices, and confirm payment amounts.
• Keep export files accurate, organized, and closed out on time.
• Work with branch offices, accounting, customers, and colleagues in Japan to meet shipment deadlines.
• Guide junior team members and escalate critical issues to the Export Manager.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience coordinating air and ocean exports or in a closely related freight forwarding role.
• Hands-on experience with export documentation, AES filing, vendor quotes, billing, and account management.
• Strong organization and follow-through across multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Sound judgment and the ability to resolve day-to-day shipment issues with minimal supervision.
• A high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is a plus.
