About Enterprise Functions
A global organisation. It’s not just those in our industrial sites and technical centres that are vital to Umicore’s growth. Across our enterprise functions we ensure that we continue to grow and evolve – whether it’s by making sure our decisions are commercially viable, enhancing our reputation, building new customer relationships or finding the right people who can build on what we’ve already achieved. The variety of our work means we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.
As Export Control & Sanctions Business Partner, you act as the primary interface between the business and the Global Export Control & Sanctions (EC&S) team. Review selected transactions and support decision making by recommending whether to proceed, mitigate, or escalate
Handle and document escalations in a structured way, in alignment with the Head of Global EC&S Compliance
Work closely with Regional Trade Compliance Managers on questions linked to local regulations and specific jurisdictions
Support the application of EC&S controls across key areas such as country restrictions, product classification, business partner screening, end-use checks, and export licensing
Promote awareness within the business and support the adoption of a “stop and escalate” mindset where needed
