We're looking for an Export Compliance Coordinator who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally, and navigating the details that make international business successful. As an Export Compliance Coordinator, you'll play an important role in ensuring our export shipments meet regulatory requirements while supporting our branches and customers throughout the order process.
You'll:
• Review export orders to ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and company policies before shipment.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and customers to resolve export-related questions and keep orders moving.
• Evaluate products, destinations, and end-use information to determine export eligibility and identify potential compliance risks.
• Process and release export orders once all required documentation and regulatory approvals have been completed.
• Maintain Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs), Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) codes, and product classification records.
• Screen customers, destinations, and transactions against applicable restricted-party lists.
• Prepare and review commercial invoices and export documentation for accuracy and customs compliance.
• Maintain detailed compliance records that support internal audits and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate complex compliance matters when appropriate while contributing ideas that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance processes.
• Continue building your knowledge of export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade through ongoing training and collaboration.
What You Bring:
• 1-2 years of experience in export compliance, customs, international logistics, trade compliance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. export regulations, including EAR, ITAR, customs procedures, or international shipping documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems, with an interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and workflows.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates, customers, and cross-functional business partners.
• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
