Job Description

TASK DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent of this task provides assistance, technical advice and training to Kuwait Air Force (KAF) personnel located on KAF and installations for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specifics.

TASK REQUIRMENTS:

1. Incumbent reports directly to the KAF EOD Officer In Charge for all matters pertaining to EOD and Rapid Runway Repair clearance procedures and requirements.

2. Provides assistance, advice and training to KAF Officer, enlisted personnel and civilians on matters pertaining to EOD.

3.Incumbent will function as a participating EOD team member, observing EOD activities and ensuring safe operations of the EOD team when rendering safe explosive material.

4. Provide formal classroom and on-the-job training of KAF Officer and enlisted personnel in EOD operations and EOD techniques.

5. Will advise KAF of Rapid Runway Clearance methods and procedures.

MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a designated Master EOD technician with a minimum of 10 years experience working directly in an EOD program/environment.

2. Former EOD technical instructor and designated Training Specialist. Must be capable of developing plans, programs and instructions for the KAF EOD training program.

3. Incumbent should have a broad knowledge of U.S. and Foreign chemical and conventional ordnance, associated safety precautions and disposal methods as associated with EOD operations.

4. Must be former military with knowledge of U.S. and North Atlantic Treaty Organization aircraft, aircraft weapon systems, missiles (Aircraft and Air Defense), and with a strong leadership background. A former retired senior enlisted member with hands on knowledge and experience is desired.

5. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and data base management systems as used on computers as applied to technical training management. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.

6. Knowledge of U.S. Navy Supply System, and the Foreign Military Sales program is highly desired.

7. U.S. Secret security clearance required.
