About the Opportunity

Geo Resource Ltd is working with a junior gold exploration company focused on Francophone West Africa. The company is in an active multi-project exploration phase with strong newsflow, a growing portfolio, and ambitions to become a regional player.

They are seeking an Exploration Manager to provide senior technical oversight across all projects, managing people, budgets, and programs while also contributing to new project generation and regional growth strategy. This is a leadership role that requires both field credibility and the ability to operate at a corporate level.

This role suits someone who has grown beyond pure technical work and is ready to own exploration holistically: managing teams, guiding resource development, and identifying new opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee exploration across multiple projects in Francophone West Africa, ensuring programs are delivered on time and on budget
• Manage and mentor in-country technical teams, contractors, and support staff
• Lead or co-lead resource estimation processes in collaboration with external engineering groups
• Contribute to project generation — identifying, evaluating, and advancing early-stage grassroots opportunities across the region
• Manage exploration budgets, planning cycles, and operational costs in coordination with local accounting and finance
• Ensure data quality, QAQC standards, and technical reporting meet public company requirements
• Serve as the primary English-French bridge between senior leadership and in-country francophone teams
• Support investor-facing technical narrative and regulatory reporting as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Geology or related discipline
• 10–15 years of exploration experience, including meaningful time in West Africa (Birimian gold terranes strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to manage people, programs, and budgets across multiple concurrent projects
• Bilingual English/French — fluency in both is a firm requirement for this role
• Junior explorer mindset used to environments with lean teams and shifting priorities
• Familiarity with resource estimation workflows and NI 43-101 or equivalent reporting standards
• Entrepreneurial orientation able to assess new projects, think regionally, and contribute to growth strategy
• QP/Competent Person eligibility is an asset but not a hard requirement
