Are you passionate about driving innovation in the ceramics industry? As an Expert R&D Projects Ceramics & Surface Technology (f/m/d) within our Ceramics Development team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our products and processes. You will lead cross-functional, international development projects from the initial concept to successful implementation, focusing on innovative surface technologies, raw material strategies, and state-of-the-art digitalization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Control: Prepare, lead, and monitor development projects with internal and external partners. This includes defining clear project targets, content, resource allocation, and budget planning.
  • Innovation & Surface Development: Drive process and product surface developments, ensuring a strong alignment with our global raw material strategy.
  • Trend & Productivity Enablement: Develop innovative recipes and decoration methods to enable new product trends (including color, haptics, and patterns) while simultaneously increasing the productivity of our ongoing production.
  • Reporting & Controlling: Ensure structured project reporting, resource tracking, and cost control throughout all project phases.
  • Digitalization: Proactively support and advance digitalization activities in the field of materials and processes.

Your Profile

  • Education: Degree (B.Sc. / Engineer) in Ceramics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of proven working experience in R&D or development departments within the ceramics industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in project management methodologies, statistical analysis, and control charts. Practical knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) or data mining is a distinct advantage.
  • Languages: Business fluent in German and English (written and spoken). Basic knowledge of French or other languages is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills in international environments, a structured and analytical way of working, and a passion for innovation.
