Are you ready to drive key development projects in the ceramics industry? As an Expert R&D Projects Ceramics & Raw Materials within our Ceramics Development team, you will focus on the optimization and strategic alignment of slip, slip raw materials, and alternative materials. In this role, you will lead international projects, coordinate cross-plant initiatives, and take over responsibility for our hazardous substance management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Controlling: Prepare, lead, and monitor development projects with internal and external partners, ensuring a strong link to our global raw material strategy with a focus on slip, slip raw materials, and alternative materials.
  • Project Definition: Define project content, clear targets, resource allocation, and budget/cost planning.
  • Cross-Plant Coordination: Coordinate multi-site, cross-plant projects focusing on slip and raw materials, align them with our overarching material strategy, and consistently follow up on agreed measures.
  • Production Support: Provide hands-on preparation and production support with a dedicated focus on slip and slip raw materials.
  • Digitalization: Proactively support and drive digitalization activities within the field of slip and raw materials.
  • Special Task – Hazardous Substance Management: Take ownership of the coordination and compliance of our hazardous substance management within the department.

Your Profile

  • Education: Degree (B.Sc. / Engineer) in Ceramics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience within a development or R&D department in the ceramics industry.
  • Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of project management, statistical analysis, and control charts. Practical experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) or data mining is highly beneficial.
  • Languages: Business fluent in German and English (written and spoken). Basic knowledge of French or another language is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Personal Traits: Strong organizational and coordination skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work effectively with international, cross-functional teams.
