Job Description

You will be a member in one of ING’s most strategically important Centres of Expertise within Operational Design, Control & Resilience (ODCR), operating at the intersection of Operational Resilience, Sourcing & Shared Services (Third Party & Intragroup), and Process Architecture & Modelling. This role is central to delivering ING’s ambition to build safe, secure, efficient, and futureproof operations, fully aligned with the COO and ING strategy.

The team
You are responsible for designing and delivering ING’s integrated approach to tooling for sourcing, resilience, and process architecture—ensuring consistent global standards, effective governance, and robust compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. Working closely with business lines, hub locations, technology departments, and senior leadership, you shape the bank wide way of working and ensure readiness for future challenges, regulatory expectations, and strategic transformation. Roles and responsibilities
This is a highly visible global role, frequently interacting with senior executives, regulators, and key stakeholders across the three lines of defence.  

  • Support implementation of a unified tooling, data, and reporting strategy across TIPM and operational resilience
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable tooling and reporting solutions  
  • Establish data models, reporting standards, and architectural principles aligned with ING guidelines  
  • Develop and embed quality control and data governance capabilities  
  • Define, implement, and maintain governance, standards, and frameworks for tooling and reporting
  • Deliver on reporting that enables compliance with external regulatory commitments (e.g., TIPM, DORA, OCIR)
  • Deliver resolution reporting (OCIR and FMIR) to comply with external regulatory requirements
  • Deliver tooling and reporting that will enable senior management to keep oversight and enable steering on the quality of progress and KPIs related to OpRes and TIPM.
  • Drive standardisation and automation to improve efficiency, reliability, and auditability  
  • Drive adherence to ING approved tooling, data, and reporting platforms  
  • Build and maintain critical service catalogues, sourcing registries, and TIPM environments  
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of common methodologies, data standards, and reporting templates  
  • Drive continuous improvement of documentation, dashboards, reference materials, and runbooks
  • Act as a trusted partner for senior stakeholders by providing clear insights and transparency
  • Foster a globally aligned, consistent, and collaborative way of working.

Experience & Expertise

  • 10+ years professional experience in banking or business consultancy and/or rollout of tooling and / or reporting initiatives in complex international environments
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into insightful reports / dashboards that are intuitive and user friendly
  • Proven experience leading global expert teams and delivering complex, cross border change.
  • Track record in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Resolution Reporting, TIPM and Process Management.
  • Strong understanding of ING’s organisation, stakeholder landscape, and strategic priorities.
  • International experience in Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, and support functions is a plus.

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and change management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to steer strategy and delivery based on facts, data, and risk insights.

Education & Qualifications

  • Excellent command of English.
  • Relevant certifications in resilience, sourcing, business continuity, process management, or risk.
