OverallAssignment

Apogee's ideal Systems Engineer will assist in leading engineering teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT. Dutiesmayinclude:

·AssiststheGovernmentindirectingrequirementsengineering,solutionsengineering,scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainabilityand analysis across the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies.

·Assistswiththeplanning,analysis/traceabilityofuserrequirements,architecturestraceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.

·AdvisestheGovernmentonproposedchangestothesolutionsdesignsbasedonanalysisof requirements and new technology.

·AssiststheGovernmentinthecaptureandtranslationofmissionandcustomer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.

·Supportstheanalysesandallocationofrequirementstosystemsarchitecturecomponentsand executing programs.

·AssiststheGovernmentinperformingsystemsintegration activities.

·AssistinleadingAnalysisofAlternatives(AoAs),CourseofActions(CoAs),TradeStudies,and Engineering Assessments.

·AssiststheGovernmentinstrategictechnicalplanning,projectmanagement,performance engineering, risk management and interface design.

·ProvidesexpertadvicetotheGovernmentintheareasofrelatingvision,strategy,plans,needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.

·OperatesatthelevelofintegratingmultipleMajorSystemsAcquisitionsacrossorganizational, agency, department, and governmental/national boundaries.

·OverseesandcoordinatestheworkofSenior-,Mid-,andJunior-levelcontractorSystems Engineers.

SkillsandExperience:

Required:

·Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, ComputerScience,InformationTechnology,ManagementInformationSystems,orrelatedSTEM degree program,

·18+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/ICAcquisitionProcess,RequirementsProcess,PPBESProcessorsystemsengineeringof large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.

·Experiencewith andstrongunderstandingof systemsengineering lifecycle.

·DemonstratedknowledgeofthecurrentNSG/ASGandNRO enterprises.

·PreviousNGAand/orNSG/ASGprogram/projectwork experience.

·PreviousICorDoDprogram/projectwork experience.

·TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.

Desired:

·Master’sdegreeorhigherinSystemsEngineeringorinarelatedtechnicalorscientificfieldssuch as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, ComputerScience,InformationTechnology,ManagementInformationSystems,orrelatedSTEM degree program.

·WorkingknowledgeofModel-BasedSystemsEngineering,processes, toolsand languages.

·SoftwareDevelopmentFramework certification.

·INCOSEExpertSystemsengineeringProfessional(ESEP) certification.

·Licensureasaprofessional engineer.

·Membershipor leadershipparticipationinanyofthefollowingprofessional organizations:

·Extensiveworkexperienceinthefield ofgeospatial intelligence.

·Experienceengineeringsolutions usingCloud-based technologies.

·Experienceengineeringsolutionsusingstructured andunstructured Big Data.

·ExperienceengineeringsolutionsusingAutomation,AugmentationandArtificialIntelligence technologies.

·Demonstratedexpertiseinphotogrammetry,remotesensing,imagescience,informationsciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
