As part of Groupe BPCE’s international division, Natixis in Portugal designs and delivers solutions for its two core areas — Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management — as well as transversal services that support all entities across the Group.

With more than 3,000 employees representing 46 nationalities, the teams work across Information Technology, Banking Support Activities, and Compliance, in an integrated, inclusive, and cross-functional way, supporting all business lines and platforms of the Group.

Job Description

Generic Responsibilities

Provides guidance on technical issues, identifies areas for process improvement and proposes solutions to improve efficiency and quality.

Develops and delivers presentations and training sessions on technical topics as well as provides mentoring and coaching to other team members, to help them develop their technical skills.

Collaborates with other teams within the organization to develop integrated technical solutions.

Collaborates with product owners and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Identifies and resolves complex technical issues and defects as well as conducts technical feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions (if applicable).

Collaborates with managers and experts to align technology initiatives with overall business goals.

Contributes to the development and implementation of technical best practices in Natixis.

May participate in industry conferences and events and stays up to date with emerging technologies and trends.

May be responsible for the coordination of resources and/or for the informal and functional coordination of technicians with less seniority.

Upon justified need and Corporate Stakeholders' validation, should be available to support other Business Units in her/his area of expertise.

Specific Responsibilities

Contributes to the technical strategy, roadmap and architecture of Natixis, ensuring its alignment with business goals and strategy.

Develops and maintains technical governance policies and procedures.

Researches, evaluates and recommends new technologies and tools that can improve the organization's technical capabilities as well as develops and maintains technical standards and best practices within Natixis, guaranteeing the alignment with relevant standards and regulations.

Represents Natixis at technical conferences and events and participates in industry conferences and events to stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends.

Qualifications

Postgraduate Degree / MBA / PHD / Specialized Technical Training

Is appointed by the Management Committee.

Requires highly extensive and specific knowledge and skills, supported by a vast professional experience in a specialized field, typically associated with substantial academic training, with broad business knowledge, which allows the development of activities and resolution of technical problems.​ Is usually recognized as an authority in a specific area of knowledge.

Deals with non-routine situations that require the adaptation and development of new solutions, researching and innovating to solve critical, complex and unpredictable problems. Continuously evaluates and improves processes and methodologies to optimize IT development and delivery and meet business requirements.

Acts supported by general and broad procedures and practices, with autonomy to make decisions and in solving problems of high complexity.

Determines methods and procedures for innovative assignments and coordinates an area's technical activities or complex projects.

Is able to assume the responsibility of guiding the technical activity experienced members of his/her team.​

Interacts with others influencing and persuading on a variety of audiences in order to obtain and generate commitment by changing behaviors.

Champions the organization's mission, vision, and values to their teams and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Contributes to recruitment decisions and advises according to the organization's needs and values.

Contributes to the development of training programs and materials related to their area and the organization’s culture.

Leverages their network, is tuned with the market, contacting and recommending possible prospects that can integrate the organization.

O projeto Atlas consubstancia a criação de uma nova unidade da Natixis a instalar na Região Metropolitana do Porto, com o objetivo de prestar serviços de tecnologia de informação (TI) para os segmentos da Natixis de Retail, Corporate and Investment Banking, Central Functions e Infrastructure & Security. Para além disso, o Centro Tecnológico visa impulsionar os processos de inovação do Grupo, pelo desenvolvimento de projetos de I&D para desenvolvimento de novas soluções para o setor financeiro.

O centro tecnológico idealizado para Portugal será estruturado como uma extensão de todas as atividades de TI do Grupo e dos diversos segmentos de negócio (Retail, Corporate and Investment Bank e Central Function). O projeto ATLAS teve o seu início em março de 2017 com o arranque da sua operação no Porto e contratação de primeiros recursos humanos altamente qualificados. As novas instalações foram formalmente inauguradas a 07/03/2018.
