As an Expert Global Customs Risk, Governance & Compliance, you will be part of the Global team and play a key role in defining the global governance framework for our business. You will establish policies, standards, and risk management principles that provide consistent guidance across all regions. Working closely with regional teams and key stakeholders, you will ensure that global frameworks are effectively implemented while allowing for regional requirements where appropriate.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, strategic perspective, and the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures in a global environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve global governance frameworks, policies, standards, and risk management principles.
  • Develop and govern global processes and guidelines in close collaboration with regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive Global Broker Management, including governance standards and strategic oversight of broker relationships.
  • Establish and maintain global standards for Origin & Preferences to ensure consistent and compliant application across all regions.
  • Define and oversee global governance for HS Classification, ensuring harmonized classification principles and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Develop and enhance the organization's Risk Management framework by identifying, assessing, and mitigating global risks.
  • Lead and further develop Global Knowledge Management, ensuring best practices, policies, and expertise are effectively documented, shared, and continuously improved across the global organization.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into global standards and governance requirements.
  • Partner with regional teams to support the implementation of global frameworks while considering local regulatory and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote harmonization, transparency, and operational excellence across the global organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Alternatively, extensive expert-level experience gained over a longer period in a relevant field may be considered in lieu of the minimum experience requirement.
  • Experience working in an international or global organization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of international customs and trade topics, including HS Classification and Origin & Preferences
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
