Job Description

Join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team within the Chief Risk Officer function and play a key role in shaping risk management across the EEX Group. You will focus on managing material risks beyond the default waterfall in line with EMIR, covering credit, market, operational, liquidity, and business risks from an integrated perspective.

Your tasks:
In this role, you take ownership of Economic Risk Management topics, including risk strategy, risk inventory, and risk-bearing capacity, supported by integrated stress testing. This involves capital planning from both a normative and economic perspective. You contribute to the continuous development of risk methodologies and models, ensuring a robust and forward-looking framework. You will also be responsible for risk reporting to internal committees and senior stakeholders, translating complex risk insights into clear and structured information. In addition, you coordinate the group risk report and collaborate closely with stakeholders across the EEX Group. In addition, you cooperate with the respective responsible departments in recovery and resolution planning, where you define recovery indicators, assess recovery options, and develop scenarios in line with regulatory requirements. Your role includes designing professional solutions for regulatory reporting in accordance with frameworks such as EMIR and other national and international reporting requirements. Working closely within our team, you will refine processes, support the integration of risk concepts into IT systems, and contribute to improving efficiency and transparency. You will act as a key contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, and supervisory authorities.
After all, you also get a lot back from your team for all this. Because we appreciate exchanging ideas, being there for each other and making each other better. We call this: Exchange Mindset.

You bring along:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Macroeconomics, or a comparable field
  • Extensive professional experience in a similar role at a CCP, bank, consultancy, or auditing firm, including exposure to supervisory authorities and external auditors
  • Strong expertise in banking and CCP regulation, combined with solid mathematical skills in risk modelling and quantification
  • Strong expertise in credit and operational risk, market price risk, and business risk
  • Proven ability to work in a structured, reliable, and solution-oriented manner, taking ownership of complex tasks
  • Excellent communication skills with a confident and persuasive approach
  • Fluent in English and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

This position is based at the ECC AG headquarters in Leipzig, Germany, and requires regular on-site presence to facilitate collaboration and engagement with the team. Please note that a fully remote working arrangement is not available for this role.

Why join us?

  • Attractive salary package with many benefits including childcare facilities, meal allowance, job ticket, sport and recreational events
  • Flexible mobile working arrangements within Germany and abroad (according to our work agreements for mobile working)
  • Personal development thanks to extensive further training opportunities
  • A place in a dynamic and international team within EEX Group and Deutsche Börse Group
  • A long-term perspective in the constantly growing and evolving energy industry
