• This role is responsible for leading and providing expertise to project teams, participating in cross-functional initiatives, and guiding process improvements and policy establishment. The role collaborates with business leaders to influence strategic decision-making and conducts complex financial analysis to achieve objectives effectively. The role also represents the business unit and the organization as needed, builds productive relationships, and mentors lower-level employees.

The Expert Finance – NPI Hybrid is a strategic finance partner responsible for driving financial rigor across the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle within the Hybrid Systems portfolio.

This role ensures robust financial planning, investment prioritization, and profitability tracking, enabling data-driven decisions aligned with long-term business objectives and margin commitments.

The position operates at the intersection of Finance, Product Management, and Engineering, supporting early-stage innovation through to commercialization.

Responsibilities
NPI Financial Planning & Investment Governance: Lead financial evaluation of NPI programs, including business cases, ROI, and long-term profitability.

Ensure all pre-planning projects have reliable financial estimates to enable prioritization and funding decisions.
Partner with Product teams to align investment decisions with strategic roadmap and OGM targets.
Provide financial guidance on portfolio trade-offs and capital allocation.
• Support end-to-end financial visibility across the Hybrid NPI portfolio.
• Leads and drives business initiatives, overseeing analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.
• Monitor financial performance vs. targets (Revenue, OGM, Cost Structure)
• Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business, or related field.

• Extensive experience in Finance, preferably in:

• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.

-Product finance / NPI / portfolio finance.

-Technology or hardware business environment.

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle economics and cost structures.

• Experience with financial modeling, ROI analysis, and long-term planning.

The pay range for this role is$93,400to$143,800USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
