Xylem is looking for a Water Systems Service Technician to report to our Bolingbrook IL branch and service our equipment at customer sites in the surrounding area.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

What your day will look like as a Water Systems Service Technician

The Expert Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle, within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person, but candidates with previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience are especially encouraged to apply.

This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

Position Requirements for Water Systems Service Technicians

Formal Education:

Required:

• HS diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

• 1-5 years technical experience in industrial or commercial process water experience, or equivalent experience working with industrial and commercial machinery and their mechanical and electrical components

• Experience with Microsoft office, including the ability to utilize smart devices

• Ability to work in a high customer facing position

• Ability to identify and remedy potential safety concerns

• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily travel
