Job Description

In this role, as Expert Engineer Innovation & Technology (m/f/d), you shape the future of Nordex wind turbine generator technology by developing concepts that improve performance, reliability and cost of energy. You work closely with interdisciplinary teams and act as a technical reference point for engineering and strategy. Your expertise supports key decisions across the organisation and strengthens our technology roadmap.

YOUR TASKS

  • Drive Technological Advancements: Drive Nordex wind turbine generator technology and associated systems with your profound technical expertise and people management skills
  • Innovate: Initiate and drive innovation with a focus on reducing cost of energy for wind turbine generators with focus on control, advanced sensing and digitalisation solutions
  • Engineering Excellence: Lead and conduct engineering analyses, studies, and calculations on concept level
  • Project Leadership: Manage small to medium sized diverse and interdisciplinary project teams, providing strong technical guidance and fostering collaboration
  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor for product strategy, engineering and upper management
  • Effective Communication: Professionally document results and communicate with all company functions, from shop floor to board level

YOUR PROFILE

  • Educational Background: Degree in engineering, applied science, or equivalent
  • Industry Experience in Control: Several years of industrial experience in research and development, ideally within the area of control, digitalisation, sensor and electrical support systems
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of the development process of wind farm and turbine control
  • Collaborative Spirit: High degree of flexibility to work with all areas of the company in international and diverse teams
  • Integration and Communication: Excellent communication, leadership and integration skills, with advanced proficiency in English
  • Proactive and Decisive: Hands-on mentality with a strong decision-making personality
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in common and specialized engineering IT tools, MS Office including Project/Planner
