PeB Analytics is a key unit within Retail Digital, dedicated to advancing maturity, standardization, and scalability in data and analytics solutions to deliver measurable business impact across digital channels for personal banking customers. We’re seeking a Expert Data Engineer who is passionate about treating data as a product and building the robust infrastructure that empowers teams. As a technical lead, you will drive the evolution of the data product platform, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to take data applications from idea to production, ensuring they are built in a secure, ethical, and sustainable manner.

What you will be doing:
Provide technical leadership on end-to-end data architecture, including database design, platform architecture, and tool selection, balancing scalability, cost-efficiency, and long-term maintainability
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable and reliable data infrastructure and pipelines by leveraging existing tools and adhering to internal standards
Create and automate ETL processes and data flows to enhance efficiency and accelerate time-to-market
Partner with data scientists to streamline workflows for analytics, reporting and AI/ML applications
Implement robust data architecture, governance frameworks and best practices across teams
Ensure data quality, consistency and accessibility through effective modeling and integration strategies

Has strong technical expertise in designing and implementing complex data solutions & products

Is a collaborative team player who can clearly communicate complex technical concepts to others with ease
Your experience and background:
BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information technology, data engineering, data science or relevant technical field
10+ years of experience in designing, building and maintaining data warehouse products (CI/CD pipelines, Docker images, Kubernetes container orchestration)
Proficient in one or more programming languages: Python (Data manipulation, ETL pipelines such as Airflow), Java (Spark jobs, Hadoop map reduce, HDFS), SQL
Experience working with various types of databases: Relational database (SQL), NoSQL database, Data warehousing (ideally Snowflake)
Proficient with both Windows and Linux server environments and capable of administering such
Experience working with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP), especially their serverless data storage & compute services as well as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or Ansible
