Job Description

ArcelorMittal Treasury is looking for a Bank & Corporate Guarantees Analyst. The successful candidate will support the funding department with the management of bank & corporate guarantees within the ArcelorMittal group and report to the head of Bank and Corporate guarantees. The position includes regular contacts with AM subsidiaries and trade finance specialists with relationship banks.

As Analyst of Bank & Corporate Guarantees, the successful candidate will support on a range of activities including:

  • Issuance of bank guarantees and letters of credits as per the internal policy
  • Negotiate and manage parent company guarantees or letters of comfort issued by the Group for third parties
  • Work closely with business segments, subsidiaries, and entities to assess guarantee needs and determine the most appropriate way to implement them for the Group
  • Review guarantee documentation as well as contractual and financial documentation (in close collaboration with the legal department)
  • Present guarantee requests to internal management/finance committees
  • Quarterly control of fees and conditions of bank guarantees
  • Support to the back office on the bank guarantees registration
  • Follow up of release of bank guarantees
  • Follow up of bank guarantees credit lines
  • Update of corporate guarantees database
  • Semi-annual reporting of corporate and bank guarantees
  • Quarterly reconciliation of bank guarantees in cooperation with back-office
  • Quarterly computation of corporate guarantees fees
  • Conduct transfer pricing analysis of corporate financial guarantees
  • Development of a new software for the administration of the corporate guarantees

Professional Expertise

Degree in Finance, Trade finance or legal with a prior experience of at least 5 years in a bank or a guarantee department of a large corporation/bank would be a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high level of written and verbal communication in English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Familiarity with IFRS reporting standards

Working knowledge of legal concepts

Inter-cultural and interpersonal skills are key as this position requires to be in contact with professionals from a variety of different nationalities
