Job Description

We are exploring the opportunity to build an AI-native production studio that uses generative AI to create films We are looking for experts from AI-native production companies, conventional studios, streaming platforms and content-distribution businesses who can help us understand the industry and develop the right business and operating model.

Areas of Consultation -

1. Business model: How AI and conventional studios develop, produce, finance, distribute and monetize content.
2. Revenue model: Revenue from production services, commissioned content, licensing, streaming platforms, broadcasters, theatrical distribution, advertising, branded content and owned intellectual property.
3. Customers and sales: Who purchases or commissions content, key decision-makers, sales channels, sales cycles and how studios build relationships with buyers and distribution partners.
4. Pricing and commercial structures: How content is priced, including project fees, cost-plus models, licensing fees, minimum guarantees, royalties, revenue shares and co-production arrangements.
5. Cost structure and economics: Development and production costs, team structure, AI and technology costs, marketing and distribution expenses, margins, break-even timelines and project-level profitability.
6. AI-enabled production: Where AI can reduce costs or production timelines, what capabilities are still required from human teams, and the commercial, copyright, talent and quality risks involved.
7. Recommended operating model: The most viable model for starting and scaling an AI production studio, including whether to focus on production services, commissioned content, original IP, branded content, technology-enabled services or a combination.

Requirements

1. At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably 10+ years, in film, television, animation, digital media, branded content or AI-enabled production.
2. Experience working at or building an AI-native production company, film or television studio, streaming platform or content-distribution business.
3. Direct knowledge of studio business models, production costs, pricing, customer acquisition and project-level economics. 4. Experience working with content buyers such as streaming platforms, broadcasters, studios, brands, agencies or distributors.
4. A practical understanding of how generative AI is changing content development, production and post-production.
5. The ability to share actual examples, indicative economics and lessons from projects or businesses they have operated.
