Job Title: Experimental Assembly and Test Aircraft Engine & Power Plant Mechanic

Working Pattern: Onsite 9/80 schedule

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experimental Assembly and Test Aircraft Engine & Power Plant Mechanic to join our team. As the Experimental Assembly and Test Aircraft Engine & Power Plant Mechanic, you will Conduct maintenance and activities surrounding the assembling, disassembling, rework, repair, inspection and testing of experimental test articles, production units and related support equipment with the use of hand tools and specialty tools. In this role you will work around moving machinery, flammable fluids, high pressures and temperatures and may be subjected to excessive noise and may be required to work from a raised platform.

What you will be doing:

  • Conduct power generation maintenance actions (to include basic measurement tasks, instrument systems, electrical systems, lubrication systems, ignition and starting systems, fuel metering systems, fuel systems, induction and airflow systems, cooling systems, exhaust and reverser systems, propellers, auxiliary power units and special test equipment.
  • Mechanical experience in either automotive or aircraft.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of shop math and willingness to learn and apply new skills.
  • Able to interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to use shop cranes and hoists and lift up to 30lbs.
  • Possess a valid Power plant license and have the ability pass a RR vision test.
  • Travel when necessary to support actions in the field.

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) with Powerplant license from FAA accredited
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Airframe & Powerplant license

A 9/80 compressed workweek means an employee works 80 hours over nine days in a two‑week period. Generally, this means working nine hours Monday ‑ Thursday, with alternating eight‑hour Fridays and “off” Fridays.
