The Role

Our Queensland Water Resources business continues to grow, supported by a strong and secure pipeline of work. We are seeking an Experienced or Senior Drainage Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, working on a diverse portfolio of water and transport-related projects across Queensland and the wider ANZ business.

With 4+ years’ experience, you will play a key role in:

  • Designing innovative and compliant drainage systems for civil infrastructure projects
  • Leading and coordinating drainage design components to meet project and client requirements
  • Partnering with Principal Engineers on large-scale, complex projects and owning your deliverables
  • Preparing high-quality technical design reports and drawing packages

About You

You are an experienced drainage engineer from an engineering consultancy environment, with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering quality outcomes and building trusted client relationships.

You will have:

  • A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Bachelor or Master’s)
  • 4+ years’ experience in drainage design, ideally on transport or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of Austroads guidelines, standards and specifications
  • Hands-on capability in stormwater and drainage design, including open channels, culverts, pit and pipe systems
  • Proficiency in 12D, DRAINS and MUSIC
  • Experience with dynamic drainage in 12D and/or TUFLOW (desirable)
  • A positive, collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
  • A passion for technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement
