Job Description

Greencross Vets Sandringham is looking for an experienced full-time Veterinary Nurse to join our team.

We are a well-established clinic with a strong local reputation and a loyal client base. Our team is supportive, collaborative, and focused on delivering a high standard of care. We work closely together and value open communication, mutual respect, and a positive working environment.

Our purpose-built clinic includes three consult rooms, a large hospital area, a dedicated surgical theatre, and a comfortable staff break area.

About the role

As part of our nursing team, you will work closely with our vets and fellow nurses to provide high-quality care to patients and excellent service to clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Client communication and front-of-house support
  • Assisting with consultations
  • Blood collection, IV catheter placement, and diagnostic testing
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and assisting in surgery
  • Inpatient care and treatment
  • Maintaining clinic cleanliness and preparing equipment
  • Supporting the team with general nursing and administrative duties

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Has at least 2–3 years of clinical experience
  • Is confident with both medical and surgical nursing tasks
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Is motivated, reliable, and shows initiative
  • Values patient care, client relationships, and teamwork
