Join Lahey Clinic as a Per Diem Registered Nurse in our Medical ICU. In this role, you’ll deliver high-acuity, patient-centered care while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. Our MICU cares for complex medical patients in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Collaborate & Communicate
Partner with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, APPs, and respiratory therapy
Engage patients and families as active participants in care
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, and recovery plans
Communicate effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced situations
Support a Strong ICU Team
Contribute to a flexible, team-oriented clinical environment
Step into assignments confidently and adapt quickly to unit needs
Follow Lahey Clinic policies, ICU protocols, and the ANA Code of Ethics
Maintain readiness and compliance with regulatory standards
Maintain Clinical Excellence
Practice using evidence-based care standards
Participate in ongoing education and competency validation
Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge relevant to critical care
Per Diem (as needed)
Flexible scheduling to meet unit and organizational needs
Minimum commitment requirements apply
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing
Experience: At least one full year of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute or sub-acute setting.
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
• Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Pay Range:
$37.00 - $95.37
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
