You're already an experienced RBT. Now, what's next?

At FirstSteps for Kids, we give experienced Instructors the opportunity to deepen their clinical skills, take on more responsibility, and build toward a long-term career in ABA.

You'll work directly alongside experienced, in-person BCBAs who know your learners, observe your work, provide real-time coaching, and help you continue developing as a clinician.

This Is More Than Another RBT Job

Build clinical skills.

Work on individualized treatment plans and learn how to think through clinical challenges with support from your BCBA.

Build leadership skills.

Mentor new Instructors through Behavior Skills Training and help shape the next generation of clinical team members.

Build toward BCBA.

If you're pursuing your BCBA, eligible graduate students can access BCBA supervision opportunities while gaining meaningful clinical experience.

Build lasting relationships.

Work closely with children and families across our centers, homes, and community settings, helping learners build skills that matter in everyday life.

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality ABA therapy to children in center, home, and school settings
• Implement individualized treatment plans with support from an in-person BCBA
• Collect accurate data and communicate clinical observations
• Partner with families and caregivers
• Train and mentor new Clinical Trainees using Behavior Skills Training
• Model strong clinical practice, teamwork, and professionalism

We're Looking For

An experienced RBT or Behavior Technician who:

• Enjoys working directly with children and families
• Wants to keep developing clinically
• Is interested in mentoring and supporting other Instructors
• Values collaboration with experienced BCBAs
• Is pursuing, or may eventually pursue, a career as a BCBA
• Believes great ABA requires both clinical excellence and genuine care

You already know how to be an RBT. We're here to help you become the clinician you want to be.

$26–$28/hr depending on experience

Health & Safety Requirements:

• Childhood vaccinations (MMR & Varicella), non-reactive TB test, and physical screening
• Access to reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit on floors and/or child-sized furniture, and quickly move from a seated position to running stance
