Our Geo-Environment (GEE) team is solving some of Australia’s biggest challenges across the built and natural environments. We are seeking a Senior Water Resource Engineer to contribute to surface water, drainage, flood modelling and water management projects across Queensland and nationally. This role provides the opportunity to develop technical expertise while working alongside experienced specialists within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

As a Senior Water Resource Engineer, you’ll:

  • Deliver surface water assessments, drainage strategies and design solutions across infrastructure, mining, renewable energy, waste and industrial development projects.
  • Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, including flood assessments and stormwater analysis.
  • Support project delivery from planning and environmental assessment through to concept and detailed design.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documentation and assessment packages.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality client outcomes.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, scope development and project planning activities.
  • Contribute to innovation, climate resilience and sustainable water management initiatives.
  • Continue to build technical capability through mentoring and professional development opportunities.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience in surface water engineering, drainage design, flood studies or related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of modelling tools such as RORB, XP-RAFTS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, DRAINS or similar.
  • GIS capability using ArcGIS, QGIS or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of Australian water management frameworks, drainage standards and environmental assessment processes.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous professional development.
